Carl Gustav Putsch, after his apprenticeship at the blacksmith shop of his father, wanted to become independent.
So, in 1882, set up his own and started with two employees to produce grabs and grips for farriers,
60 pieces per day. The other works were carried out carefully by hand.
The quality was much sought after, the small company grew.
